We are moving down the road, about to head into our third week on the tour and the craziness will soon begin. Last week we finished our first round of shows in the City of Orange. Our first show we set up at a mixer for the Irvine Public Schools Foundations, IPSF helps to ensure that every child, in every school, has the opportunities and resources to succeed to the absolute best of his or her abilities. I unfortunately was still passed out in bed with my tooth issues, but Mande and Jonathan Combs were there to mix with great friends of ours in my stead.

The following night we packed up the trailer and drove up to Venice Beach, one of Mande’s favorite places, she is in love with Abbot Kinney St and all that it holds. The Video Army loft was our destination thanks to James Cooney a long time friend from home in Nor-Cal for allowing us to use their amazing space. He introduced us to Brett Mazurek (Director of “Diamonds in the Rough”) and the rest of the VA crew, who are doing insane work out of their offices. The night was incredible as I was able to meet and hang out with Saba-Saba the legendary Ugandan Hip Hop artist who is featured in “Diamonds in the Rough” and listen to two Veritas Artist Collective musicians, Jonathan Combs and Miniature Soap (Kelli Anne Noftle). Kelli and I go way back but haven’t seen each other face to face in 10 years, so we hung out on a couch the majority of the night and discussed all things music, literature, film, life, Veritas, her incredible prose etc etc. It was a great night. Here are a few pictures from the two events, in order to view the entire photo album click the links to go to our Facebook page.
