Veritas- A bit of History

Veritas was conceptualized in the Spring of 2007 in Xi’an, China, by Ty Clark.  For a number of years prior, Ty had envisioned and organization that combined his passion for Art, Music, Film, Literature, Sports and Humanity.  As Ty’s passions carried him across the globe, it became evident there was a need for a company like the one he had dreamed about.

In 1999, after playing basketball and studying Fine Art at Azusa Pacific University, he pursued his goal of playing professional basketball internationally.  Through many failed attempts, agents, and let downs, he turned to his number on love- the Arts.  His love for the Arts was inspired by his Grandparents and his Uncle Conway “Jiggs” Pierson, a world-renowned sculptor in the 60’s and 70’s who showed in the Smithsonian, MOMA and other major galleries worldwide.  Since 2000 Ty has pursued his dream as an artist, under the name “SAMO4PREZ”, showing in Galleries from California to Texas.  For the last few years he has also been working on the completion of two Novels.

His journey has taken him to Uganda, Rwanda, and Kenya, as well as Romania, Paris, China, Japan and Thailand.  He has a passion for working with the needy, engaging culture, and inspiring hope through his art.

Ty’s network of friends involved in art, film, music, literature, fashion, dance, sports and humanitarian work stretches across the globe.  His vision is to pull them all together through a specific medium in order to combine efforts and creativity to help those in need.  Using skills and knowledge of the retail industry he learned in five years of working for Quiksilver, the world’s leading actions sports retail company, he began to map out a vision that could utilize his passions, creative gifts, and his network of friends through a fashion brand.  Years of ideas finally came together to create Veritas.

The Vision of Veritas is to impact people’s lives by creating a brand that is a catalyst for truth, love and a passion for giving.  Veritas creates and nourishes the kind of relationship and diversity of human contact that builds into the essence of the city.  The Veritas brand is designed and created to bring community together through a combination of the Arts; one shirt, one painting, one sound, one film, and one word at a time.

Veritas is an Art Fashion Brand, creating its own niche in the fashion market, a brand with its core revolving around the Fine Arts community.  This community encompasses all genres of art and design, similar to the late 1960’s New York art scene that revolved around the Factory owned by Andy Warhol.  Groups of creative individuals who networked and created together, shared their works, critiqued each other and most of all impacted the art community worldwide.  The network of artistic talent that was born out of this collective included artists, poets, photographers, actors and actresses, fashion designers, musicians, and filmmakers.  In essence the idea behind Veritas is to become “The Factory” as a brand, but with a greater purpose than just influencing artistic creation, a purpose of becoming involved in humanitarian projects worldwide through this collection of creative individuals.  This is the design behind “The Veritas Artist Collective”, a collection of artists, photographers, sculptors, musicians, actors/actresses, filmmakers, producers, writers and athletes thus enabling the Veritas brand to connect internationally in all creative circles.

“The artistic in the world drive trends, whether in fashion, music, film, literature or art.  The goal of Veritas is to become, as a brand, a piece in the core of the artistic world.”

-Ty Clark CEO/Founder/Designer

Veritas will achieve these goals by becoming one of the leading fashion brands in the world by connecting itself through a series of events, art shows, fundraisers, concerts, humanitarian projects and creative avenues by way of its Non-Profit organization, “The Veritas Project”. Within the next five years Veritas will strive to create its own niche branding by using the arts as a platform and humanitarian involvement as its heart.  By entering into the retail/boutique world in every major city over the next five years Veritas will open doors for its event and non-profit involvement.  Veritas hopes to use “The Veritas Project” as a means to help build community and serve those in need while building a strong foundation monetarily through the branding of Veritas.

In 10 years Veritas will be a staple and a household name in the art, fashion, entertainment and humanitarian community; setting the bar in design, textiles and creativity.  In this time Veritas hopes to open its first community arts center in a major US city called “The Veritas House”.  The Veritas House will be a center that includes a Veritas Boutique, Veritas Art Gallery, the Veritas Film House and a Veritas Digital Music Café.  The Veritas House will be place where community meets the arts and is able to serve the community it represents through local humanitarian involvement and projects.

Veritas will always be a company that prides themselves in customer service, customer satisfaction, creative ingenuity, community, servant hood and relationships.  We will always focus on the people, the community, our projects, cutting edge design, creating art through a brand, and serving to better humanity in any way possible.

Currently Veritas is made up of:  Ty Clark- CEO/Founder/Designer, his wife Mande Clark- Accounting/Operations/Event Planning and a number of volunteers.
